The Arbor Roller Blunt Bamboo Longboard - Complete. Arbor's most versatile shape for all-around longboard skating - the 44" Blunt is designed with a fat front-end for step-up control at speed, and a concave, tapered shape and rounded kick tail/nose for versatile performance. Completes include: Arbor 70mm 78a durometer Street Series wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and 10. Gullwing Charger trucks.

The Roller Blunt Bamboo is built around 7 plys of sustainably sourced Canadian Hardrock Maple and  sandwiched between two layers of pre-cured fiberglass.  The glass makes the board’s long-lasting flex-style performance possible - creating a fun, tight turning, more forgiving ride.  In the Arbor tradition, an innovation not previously used in composite design was added: Arbor finished the deck with an ecologically accessed ply of Bamboo.

The Arbor skate is a unique, one of a kind piece of art and the amazing graphics are hand-done by artists in Venice, CA.

Six Plys of Sustainably Sourced Hardrock Maple - Maple provides the best blend of durability and lightweight performance.  It's also readily available and affordable, which allows us to offer a price point that is uncommonly low for an environmentally friendly alternative.
 
Bamboo Power Ply - Bamboo is a remarkably renewable, sustainably grown material.  By adding it as a power-generating deck-side ply, we not only give our skates that clean Zen flavor, we deliver much improved return and lasting durability.
 
Recycled Glass Re-Grip - Each deck is gripped with long-lasting crushed recycled glass.  This ultra clear grip surface allows the deck’s natural grain and color to remain highly visible, while providing better performance than silica bead alternatives.
 
Water-Based Finishes - All Arbor skates are produced using a water-based sanding sealer and final finish to help protect the air we breathe, especially while skating.
 
Recycled Plastic Risers - All Arbor completes are shipped with recycled plastic risers, which allow us to reduce our dependence on petroleum-based plastics, while contributing to a reduction in the use of landfills and the proliferation of plastic pollution.
 
Reclaimed Wood By-Product - All wood by-product created during the production of our skates is reclaimed for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies.  This allows Arbor to stretch an important resource, while helping to reduce strain on landfills and forestlands.

Details:
Bamboo works as a structural component improving performance.  By adding bamboo components into a wood core, Arbor is able to radically increase board power and durability.  Bamboo is one of the strongest materials on the planet.  It has 40 times the effective life of carbon fiber and provides 60% more return than traditional core materials.  Bamboo also has a tensile strength and weight-to-strength ratio superior to steel; yet it is light, flexible, and resistant to compression.

Because bamboo is an active structural material, Arbor is able to design with lighter glasses and thinner cores.  Arbor’s designers are able to achieve an equivalent target flex, improved pop/return, and reduce board weight without sacrificing durability or performance.
